*Princesses for a day*

Instead of having a birthday party, Christina and I decided to take our girls to Libby Lu and have them be *Princesses for a day*. Since their birthdays are only a month apart, we thought this would be a great way to celebrate turning 5!! Christina had bought each of the girls a tiara and sash set, as well as the cutest matching bracelets with their names on them. The girls were so excited!!!
We started off at the mall - where Libby Lu is located. The girls could hardly wait to get there!
As part of the birthday package, each of the girls got to pick out a little bag, a stuffed animal, as well as a shirt and collar for their pet. Mia and Keely both picked out a white puppy, pink collar, pink shirt and pink bag. Can you tell they love pink!!
Then they each got their nails done, a little bit of eye shadow and lip gloss, and a beautiful princess up-do - complete with a real tiarra. They looked adorable!
They both changed into their favorite princess dresses (we brought these from home) and loved all the attention they got walking around the mall like little princesses.
After a little time at the mall (and a little shopping time for the mom's), we all went to lunch at TGIFriday's. I had gotten the girls princess goblets to drink from and they enjoyed feeling like royalty! After we ate, each of the girls got their very own princess cake! I made them each a little pink cake with a tiarra on top. And as you can see, they ate like well-mannered princesses!

It was a GREAT day!! I loved having that special time with the birthday girl. I still can't believe she is really 5 years old. But no matter how old she is, she will always be my little princess. :)
